Since I was last with you, I almost died on two occasions from clots in the lungs. Indeed, on one of these attacks a Capuchin priest was summoned to the Mercy to give me the Last Rites. As someone who administered these in London's Royal Free hospital, I was not impressed by the perfunctory manner in which he went about preparing me to meet my Maker. But the fact I am writing this today tells you that our meeting has been delayed. Daughter Katherine did two readings from the manuscript of her children's book at the recent Wigtown Book Festival, and was very well received. She wrote the 70,000 words while recovering from breast cancer treatment and surgery. I am currently working on a film treatment of my own book. and hope to have completed the work next week, please God. Until I speak with you again, keep well and God love you and yours,
